The sun is starting to come out and the mood around is definitely brighter. At Mags Worldwide we’re gearing up for IMEX in Frankfurt where we look forward to introducing you to our fantastic portfolio.
We’re following the sun this month and looking at ESA our partners in Latin America, first up is a look at some important new openings in the perennial party city – Rio de Janeiro.
New Hotel Openings in Rio de Janeiro
Known locally as “The Marvelous City,” Rio de Janeiro is a city full of color, noise, and passion. Renowned for its stunning setting – white, sandy beaches, nestled between lush, green mountains – the city is home to some of the world’s most famous attractions.
In order to enjoy all those attractions from the right base, there are several new hotel openings waiting to be discovered! With all the changes this marvelous city has undergone in the last years during the World Cup and the Olympics, this is what awaits you for your incentive groups:
For your small high-end groups, you cannot miss the new 5 star propoerty Emiliano Rio. Recently opened in 2017, Emiliano boasts a prime location on Copacabana Beach. Combining modern elements with a bit of a 1950s touch, the result is a stylish blend of beach resort and city hotel. 90 guest rooms, many with stunning views of the sea, boast contemporary décor, warm wood flooring, and touches of marble and gold.
If you don’t wish to be accommodated in the hustle of Copacabana beach, we recommend the 5 star Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro, opened in 2016. Located beachfront in Barra de Tijuca, the urban resort combines Brazilian design and hospitality in an urban resort setting. The 436 spacious guestrooms offer uninterrupted views of the ocean or the Marapendi lagoon.
If your incentive program is a little further away, you should definitely consider the soon to be opened 5 star Fairmont Rio de Janeiro. After over a year of renovation work, the Sofitel Rio de Janeiro Copacabana will come under the Fairmont banner in 2018. 400 rooms, a conference center able to accommodate 800 guests and unrestricted views over Ipanema and Sugarloaf Mountain await you. The Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana will be true to the very essence of the brand: a perfect mix of local culture and luxury services.
